What a fantastic turn out for the concluding race of the 2017 Offaly Road Running Series. Birr was the venue and the host club took excellent care of the 383 finishers. The ladies race saw Michelle Kenny (Leevale) just get the better of Pauline Curley (Tullamore Harriers) in a time of 17:43 with Pauline 3 seconds behind. The 3rd lady on the night was Ashley Pia Ryan (Civil Service Harriers Dublin) in 17.59. The men’s race was won by Colin Maher (Ballyfin AC) in a time of 15:04 followed by Paul Buckley (Ferbane AC) 16:00 and Jay Donegan (Tullamore Harriers) 16:09. (Photography by Paula Kennedy)
