Tullamore was the venue for the 3rd round of the 2017 Offaly race series on what was a beautiful sunny day. We were promised a new pb course layout and expectations were meet with many runners that I spoke to achieving that elusive pb. The Harriers strongly supported their home race with 18 harriers inside the top 30. Liam Brady (Tullamore Harriers), having completed in a 5000m Irish millers track in 14:15 the previous day, turned in another fine performance on tired legs to claim victor in 16:08. Liam was followed home by his teammate Paul Mitchell (16:26) and Catch Grennan (16:36) from Ferbane AC. In the ladies race if was Michelle Kelly of Leevale AC who took the early lead however Pauline Curley was not to be beaten on home soil. Pauline took the win in 17:54 with Michelle close behind in 17:59 & Nadine Donegan (Tullamore Harriers) took the final podium position (18:41).
